Well, it was only a matter of time before the nutters from WBC decided it would be a great idea to protest at the funeral of one of the victims of the recent Sandy Brook School shootings.
Check out their ramblings in their most recent press release and see what you think:
WBC has faithfully warned the brutish rebels in and around Topeka,Kansas, for over 20 years now that if they did not turn again to serve and obey the LORD their God, they would suffer dire, immediate and eternal consequences. Rather than heed that warning, Topeka has waxed worse and worse, and added to their sins that thing which enrages their God: mocking His messengers and mistreating His ambassadors. This little child is paying for the sins of Topeka, of Kansas, and – like those children killed in the Connecticut elementary school last Friday – of the United States. One of the things God does to a people who adopt policies of disobedience is bereave them of their children.
In the latest twist in this story Hacktivist group Anonymous have threatened to take action against the online activities of the church. Recent information about the church has been posted on Pastebin.com and on the night of the 17th December, they declared “Tango Down” on all the churches web domains. These have now been restored back to full capability as of the 18th December.
The Twitter account of Shirley Phelps-Roper was also hijacked and her profile picture changed to the following:
What I don’t understand is why this so called church managed to keep on peddling their vile brand of religion on the rest of us, why is this. Must be something to do with freedom of speech I suppose. There is now a petition on the White House website which wishes to declare the WBC a hate group, to date their are more that 100,000 signatures.
Ill leave you with a couple of vids should you wish to waste half hour.
The first one is Russell Brand interviewing two members of WBC and the second clip is Anonymous’s message.
