Fog Light Wankers

Fog Light Wanker – Defintion:

A person who drives their vehicle with their fog lights turned on when there is no fog.
FUCKING FOG LIGHT WANKER!!!! (At this point it is necessary for you to put your full beam light on in order to ‘blind the fog lamp wanker’.)

NOTE: Those who drive with their fog and side lights on without their dipped headlamp beam when there is no fog deserve and extra portion of road rage, feel free to sound your horn at these idiots.

Whats wrong with some drivers in this country, why is there such a strong urge to reach for that fog light switch at the first sign of fog?

Mercifully for those who cant help themselves, we had a little bit of fog in the early part of December which was enough of course for them to satisfy their craving to annoy everybody else on the road!

Personally the only time when I put my fog lights on is when its actually proper foggy, not just a light mist or heavy rain, but when its actually difficult to see more that 100 feet in front of me and even then I feel a bit of a twat.

By law in the UK:

You MUST NOT use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced (see Rule 226) as they dazzle other road users and can obscure your brake lights. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves.

Law RVLR regs 25 & 27

The problem is worst when numpties forget to turn the bloody things off when the fog has lifted!

So the next time there is a small amount of mist in the air, don’t reach for the fog lights so hastily! They don’t improve what you can see, they piss everybody else off when you forget to turn them off.

Happy Christmas!
